March 25, 2009

Any owner of a home; who wants to get rid of the cement in form of asbestos from his or her house then he or she must take care of the properly disposing it after its removal. All the other items that have become contaminated during the removing process demands to be disposed of safely in the same way. Disposal of such kind of cement must be handled in similar way as the disposal of any other materials asbestos containing. Once it has been removed safely, disposal of the same can be achieved by using either 6 mm asbestos disposal bags or 6 mm polyethylene plastic sheets, which depends on the amount & size, & duct tape to seal the packages.

Polyethylene

If you are using 6 mil polyethylene plastic sheets for the disposal purpose, which makes sense if the torn out pieces of cement are large, the large chunks need to be wrapped between two layers of polyethylene sheets & should be sealed with duct tape carefully. Each and every disposable package of must be labeled properly to highlight that the package contains asbestos & it is hazardous. In case of disposal bags dedicated for asbestos this is already printed.
